About Us
It’s now over 5 years since I started For Riders with a small collection of beautiful and contemporary Equestrian gifts at the Blenheim Horsetrials. My learning curve since then has actually been almost vertical !
I now have a team of super ‘makers’ all of whom are dedicated to producing a top quality hand-crafted product and that is what has made For Riders gifts and bespoke services so very special.
Stefaan makes our Belgium chocolates and is still happily painting white numnahs on our chocolate saddles and his wife Mervi now knows the letters for a 60 x 20 dressage arena by heart as gift wrapped in our Stressage mugs.
Pip mixes up our amazing Repair hand cream for outside hands. She is passionate about keeping all her aromatherapy as pure as possible. I just thought it would be fun to make Oats soap for dirty riders and now we have a brilliant range, (…apparently oats have been used in Aromatherapy for donkey’s years). A new ‘Weatherbeaten’ face protector cream is coming soon.
It is often just so much better to make -to- measure so I find For Riders offering more and more Bespoke services:
Margaret makes the ‘Witney’ dog coats offering a perfect fit for both the very chubby and very short legged lorry dogs . Debbie makes the new lovely comfy, padded collars and she also adds a tiny touch of bling!
Phae makes my elegant browbands and together we have created tasteful new combinations and seen them being worn at major competitions, including Beijing and on the front cover of the BD Magazine, how exciting is that! Thanks to everyone who sends me pictures, I hope to have lot’s more up on the website soon.
I was introduced to ‘Tackroom Tim’ through a horsey friend about 2 years ago. He had been commissioned to make a tack room for a dressage rider, and had spent a lot of time and effort getting the saddle rack right. We teamed up and have designed a good looking range of practical fittings… and have already fitted out 4 tack rooms. (Why spend a fortune on a saddle and then put it on a wire rack?)
But my best bit of For Rider’s is having the stand at shows and hearing visitors laughing at my slogans ! we all know that for most of us competing is nerve racking, so it’s fun to offer a bit of light relief… So please, keep calm and kick on…and I hope to meet you on the trade stand or speak on the phone soon.
With best wishes from Heather who is definitely Still ponymad, just more expensive!
